CODE OF ETHICS & BUSINESS CONDUCT

This Code of Ethics and Business Conduct embodies the commitment of Szymon Zephan Capital and our subsidiaries, affiliated entities and representative offices to conduct our business in accordance with our Guiding Principles which embodies the highest ethical standards and all applicable laws, rules and regulations of every country in which we operate. As we compete in the marketplace, we must do so ethically and legally and with our clients’ best interests in mind. An illegal or unethical act, or an act that does not place our clients’ interests first, cannot be justified by saying it benefited the company, that it was directed by someone else in the organization, or that others in the marketplace regularly engage in such conduct. 

Neither you nor any other employee is ever authorized by Szymon Zephan Capital to commit or direct another employee to commit an unethical or illegal act. Great people working together as a team are our competitive advantage.

Regulators

Regulators in the jurisdictions in which we operate require our firm and employees to adhere to high standards of ethics and business conduct. For example, FINRA (one of our U.S. regulators) states that “a member in the conduct of this business shall observe high standards of commercial honor and just and equitable principles of trade.” The U.K.’s Principles for Business state that “a firm must conduct its business with integrity.” Financial market participants should be honest, reputable and reliable.
 
Our regulators clearly place importance on high standards of ethics and business conduct, and we expect the same from ourselves and all we work with.

REPORTING ILLEGAL OR UNETHICAL BEHAVIOUR

All employees, affiliates and partners are required to report observed illegal or unethical behavior to a senior manager if at any time they find themselves in a situation they believe is or may be a violation of a law, regulation or company policy (including this Code). 

They are required to report the violation or what they suspect may be a violation. We encourage this.
