Essey Tesfay is pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a finance specialization at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business. Essey interned on the fundamental equities team at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO), where he honed his skills in buy-side equity research and financial modelling. As a Portfolio Manager for the DeGroote Finance & Investment Council (DFIC), he led the FIG sector team in developing sophisticated investment theses for inclusion into the school portfolio. Essey is adept in using Microsoft Suite, Bloomberg Terminal and S&P Capital IQ. He is keen to further develop his Investment Banking skills working on Mergers and Acquisitions, debt and equity capital raising as well as leaning new tools like Pitchbook and Privco.
