Wahad is a 4^th-year undergraduate student at the University of Calgary. His passion for infrastructure and public services has since led him to pursue a degree in civil engineering. Wahad has had the opportunity to delve deeper into engineering practices by participating in various competitions and social events. His involvement in the Light Up The World mission has provided sustainable electricity to off-grid families in Peru through solar technology. He also completed a 16-month internship program with Heidelberg Materials, where he was involved in several concrete projects. In his free time, Wahad makes room to be an active volunteer at the Mustard Seed, helping sort inventory for the homeless shelters. He also enjoys going outdoors for hikingBy taking on an active role in both the community and the classroom, Wahad hopes to become a leader and a successful professional engineer.
